Kinsey’s strives to strengthen our bonds with retailers, not compete with them for consumer business. Products featured in Kinsey’s Distribution catalog are available to consumers only locally, at Kinsey’s hometown retail store Kinsey’s Outdoors. Kinsey’s Outdoors offers no Kinsey’s Distribution items for sale on a national level, either through catalog or e-commerce.
“Although Kinsey’s started in retail 65 years ago, and continues to operate a hometown outdoor store, Kinsey’s has built its business by partnering with retailers nationally for over 60 years and we have no plans to change that,” stated Rick Kinsey, vice president of sales. “Sherri [Gorman], our vice president of operations and administration, and I want retailers to know they can rest assured that Kinsey’s wants to be their supplier and partner, and not to be in competition with them for consumer business.”
As an example of that commitment, Kinsey’s is expanding its Kinsey University program in 2017 to include more opportunities for retailers to hone their skills both on the technical side of archery and the business end. “We believe we can help educate retailers to be more effective and that benefits everyone in the industry,” said Kurt Smith, coordinator of Kinsey University. “As the largest archery distributor in the industry, we want to take a pro-active role in providing these educational opportunities for retailers”
